Welcome to the New Jersey Dietetic Association
Welcome to the New Jersey Dietetic Association. The New Jersey Dietetic Association (NJDA) is an affiliate of the American Dietetic Association, the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. NJDA has over 2000 members serving New Jersey through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health and well being. Our members provide nutrition services in many settings including private practice, school systems, public health agencies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, education, research, business and industry. Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR) serve as members of the health care team and provide quality, evidence-based nutrition care for individuals and groups at all stages of the life span and in all conditions of health and disease. The vision of the New Jersey Dietetic Association is to empower members to be the state's food and nutrition leaders while optimizing the nation's and the state’s health through food and nutrition. Our members serve New Jersey citizens by providing reliable, evidence based nutrition information. As members of NJDA, “WE” (each and every member) are the New Jersey Dietetic Association! To facilitate member involvement, NJDA is committed to providing the framework that will inspire our members to “be active” in the organization by participating in nutrition education initiatives, community service and public policy issues. For the community at large, this website provides information about the activities of NJDA as well as nutrition information and links to reliable nutrition resources. For our members, the website serves as a repository of NJDA materials and provides members with information about job opportunities, public policy and legislative initiatives, association awards, upcoming events and other special initiatives of the association. Thank you for visiting our website. Please visit often!
